Draft Local Eligibility Criteria for Carers in South Ayrshire

Are you a carer in South Ayrshire? Are you a stakeholder offering support to carers in South Ayrshire?

The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 will come into force on 1st April 2018. In preparation for the Act commencing, South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership is required to publish local eligibility criteria for carers.

The Act defines local eligibility criteria as “the criteria by which the local authority must determine whether it is required to provide support to carers to meet their identified needs”.

We have already carried out some initial consultation with carers and representative organisations to develop our draft local eligibility criteria for carers in South Ayrshire.

We would welcome the views of carers and other stakeholders on our draft local eligibility criteria and have detailed a few questions within a short survey. You views will help us to finalise the local eligibility criteria for carers in South Ayrshire.

Any information you give will be treated in strict confidence and will be used only for the purposes of developing our local eligibility criteria for carers in South Ayrshire.

This consultaion Closed on 9 February 2018.
