Community Council Review Consultation

South Ayrshire Council is undertaking a formal review of its Scheme for Establishment of Community Councils (the “Scheme”) in line with procedures outlined within the Local Government Scotland Act (1973), and we want to know what you think about the proposed amendments to the Scheme.

The review is happening in 2 phases. The first phase relates to the composition and boundaries of community councils; and the second phase will address the Scheme governance documentation (this will be publicised once the first phase of the review is completed).

You will find a link to an online survey related to the first phase below, which enables you to provide your feedback. Hard copies of the documents can also be inspected at the undernoted Customer Service Centres and Libraries where paper copies of the questionnaire shall also be available for use for submission of your feedback.

The consultation can be accessed from and will be open from:

Wednesday 1st May 2019 to Wednesday 26th June 2019 - 4pm
