Adult Learners Week 2017

Adult Learners Week is a national celebration of learning across Scotland. The purpose is to recognise the positive role which learning can play in changing lives.

In South Ayrshire, the Council is running a number of drop in events as part of Adult Learning Week….so just come along!

  • Adult Learning Open Day / Information Event - John Pollock Centre, Ayr, Wednesday 24 May, 11am - 3pm
  • Job Search - Carrick Opportunities Centre, Girvan, Wednesday 24 May, 10am – 11.30am
  • Lochside Creative Corner (creative arts and crafts session) - Lochside Community Centre, Ayr, Wednesday 24 May,10am – 12pm
  • Corridor of Success (information on upcoming learning opportunities) - Lochside Community Centre, Ayr, Thursday 25 May,1pm – 3pm

There are also lots of activities taking place throughout South Ayrshire for adult learners including:

  • First Aid for parents and a stress busting course in Maybole
  • Basic computing classes in Girvan and Ayr
  • Parent and child together programmes in Barassie and Kincaidston
