Former Station Hotel - Safety Works Update

The recent adverse weather conditions have affected progress on site this week. However, due to diligent preparation by the contractor ahead of the forecast storms, there was no significant damage to any of the adjacent infrastructure.  

The wind speeds are still above the safe threshold for the cranes to operate, so the contractor has been working to sort and clear the debris material to the south of the site in preparation for removal.   

Our officers are continuing their inspections of the site as the safety works progress. You can see a clearer view of the site and the dangerous condition of the building in our video.
