Ukrainian Support Team

General Information

Homes for Ukraine is a UK Government scheme enabling people in the UK to sponsor Ukrainian citizens.  The UK scheme supports UK residents who know who they want to sponsor.  This is called being a 'named sponsor'.

Scottish Government introduced its Super Sponsor Scheme to enable Scottish residents who do not know who they want to sponsor to offer their home.  If you apply you will be matched to a Ukrainian guest who has already arrived in Scotland.

For full information on your role as a host and expectations under the Homes for Ukraine scheme including the Scottish Super Sponsor Scheme go to https://www.gov.scot/publications/ukraine-super-sponsor-scheme-guidance-for-hosts/pages/overview/

Host Roadshows

Scotland continues to stand with Ukraine and is offering a place of sanctuary to those who need it.  If you are able to, you can help a person or family fleeing the war in Ukraine by providing accommodation for six to twelve months. You are able to claim optional 'thank you' payments ranging from £350-£500 for up to two years.

If you can help, or have questions about becoming a host, come along to one of our Host Roadshow events to hear more about what being a host involves.  You will have the opportunity to meet our Ukrainian Support Team and hear about the experiences of other hosts and the guests they are helping.

No need to book a place, but do arrive on time to ensure you don't miss any of the information.  Our events are running in -
