Housing Services Rent Consultation 2021/22 - 2023/24
The agreed rent setting arrangements that are currently in place come to an end on 24 March 2021. The council is keen to seek views and feedback from all tenants on the options for future rent setting that will be effective from 25 March 2021 onwards.
In order to help tenants provide feedback on the options available we have produced an informative . The newsletter includes information on how the rent you pay is used to deliver the housing service and what other things we take into consideration to identify the options. A printed copy of the newsletter, voting card and freepost return envelope will be posted out to all tenants of the Housing Service week commencing 16th November 2020.
The current Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions that are in place, limit the opportunities to provide a range of consultation methods. However, the council is committed to ensuring that all tenants have a voice and get the opportunity to have a say in how rents are set. You will also be able to give your feedback and suggestions on the priorities that are important to you. Therefore, we would ask every tenant to take the time to consider the information provided within the newsletter and have their say.
Responding to the consultation
We are encouraging tenants to complete the voting form online for their preferred option.
Each council tenancy is entitled to one vote on their preferred rent setting option. The consultation will be open from 20th November 2020 and will close on the 13th December 2020.
