COVID-19: latest update on how our services are affected and the support available

Learning Disability Services

We have carefully reviewed Scottish Government and Health Protection Scotland advice in relation to the risks associated with the spread of COVID-19 and the needs of people who receive services from Day Services with a Learning Disability. This has led us to move to a managed closure of these services to protect our vulnerable Learning Disability people, many with underlying health conditions.

Carrick Opportunities, Kyle Day Service, and Hansel Day Services closed on 24th March and Arran View, Ayr closed on 20th March.

HSCP staff are supporting those who attended the services where there is a critical need on an outreach basis by providing lunch, shopping, emotional support and social support as requested.

Staff are also supporting families by remaining in regular contact to ensure we support as required to ensure the basic needs of those we serve are met at this time.

Our telephone number 01292 614914 is manned from 8.45am to 4.45pm on Monday - Thursday and 8.45am to 4pm on a Friday.
