Our aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly and professional service, offering a variety of in house activities such as:
- Touchtrust Sessions
- Touchscreen computer based activities
- Tabletop Activities
- A variety of therapeutic positioning / relaxation aids such as a musical bean bag, a swinging chair, massage
- Support to therapies such as hydrotherapy and music therapy
Within our activity room we have a Touch Screen Computer which offers the person a more interactive computing experience.
The Touch Screen computer operates with many added facilities and a person can choose their own music, videos, play interactive games, draw and visit different web pages and sites.
We also have various pieces of equipment to support beauty therapies, Touch Trust Sessions, Relaxation, Pampering and Music Interaction.
Our Quiet Room provides a place for people to sit or lie back and enjoy peace and quiet. The option is there for the person to either relax on the Leaf Chair Swing, The Musical Cushion or The Bean Bag.
The Room has a wall mounted 3D Effect fish tank, which is found to be soothing and therapeutic.
The person can also listen to their own personal choice of music or alternatively select a CD from the vast collection that is available.
The Sensory Room has been equipped to a high standard with appropriate selected pieces. The Sensory Room also has positioning bean bags and cushions to support people utilising this room.
The purpose of this Room is to offer relaxation and stimulation to individuals. The equipment has been carefully selected to suit the needs of adults with learning disabilities. Each piece supports the understanding of cause and effect, colour recognition and developing listening and motor skills.
Our soft lounge has been furnished to create a relaxed and comfortable environment. The Lounge has many functions and can cater for activities such as Touch Trust, Sensory Work, Group Work and Individual Sessions.
Within the Soft Lounge we have individual and appropriate seating for each person. The Lounge has also been equipped with Sensory Equipment and black out blinds to facilitate Sensory Sessions. We also have equipment storage boxes, which supports activities such as Touch Trust and Group Work Sessions.
Our dining room has been tastefully decorated and furnished to offer people a comfortable and relaxed area to enjoy a meal. Our lunches are supplied by Ailsa Hospital on a daily basis and menus are displayed on our notice board for people to see.
Our dining Room also has many functions and caters for our dance group on a Friday morning, where music and dance is enjoyed by all who attend.
Lunch is served between 12 noon and 1.00pm and all dietary requirements are catered for. If you do not wish to utilise our catering service you are more than welcome to bring in your own lunch and staff will support you if required.
Our garden can be easily accessed from our dining room and has a small seating area for everyone to sit comfortably during the summer months.
We have small sun catchers in our tree and we have planted our pots for the summer months ahead, bringing colour and fragrance to our garden.
