Houses - Freedom

You have left home, you have your own place, FREEDOM at last. Unfortunately you will also have RESPONSIBILITIES.

When you get a tenancy you will have to sign a tenancy agreement this should tell you what your Landlord is responsible for and what you are responsible for.

For example:

Your landlords will be responsible for ensuring that the house is kept wind and watertight, and that necessary repairs are carried out.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the rent is paid on time, that the place is kept clean, that you report any repairs or damage to the landlord, and that no nuisance or annoyance is caused to other neighbours.

This may mean controlling the behaviour of you friends and visitors.
REMEMBER IT IS YOUR HOUSE.
