Special Uplift Service - How to Prepare Items to be Collected

Asbestos Fibre

Specialist contractor only

Asbestos Cement

Double wrap each individual sheet in heavy duty polythene, 6x4 size only

Bath Iron

Broken (local scrap metal dealers may uplift free) 4 sections

Bricks

broken to rubble and bagged - not to exceed 25 KGs bags

Concrete Slab

Broken to rubble and bagged - not to exceed 25 KGs bags

Clothes Poles

Concrete must be removed

Coal Bunker Brick

Broken to rubble and bagged - not to exceed 25 KGs bags

Fire Place

Don't uplift (may be taken to civic amenity sites if empty)

Remove food and shelves. Cut or remove rubber seals, electric cable, and tape door closed.

Bagged and boxed - strong enough bags so they won't tear when lifted - not to exceed 25 KGs

Windows

Wooden and metal windows, patio doors etc. - will be uplifted by our Building Works Section.

In bag not to exceed 25 KGs

Engine Oil/Batteries/ Tyres

Can be taken to Community Recycling Centres, not tyres, specialist contractor.
