The frequency of collection will be as follows:

Week 1	General refuse	Green Bin
Week 2	Organic garden waste	Brown Bin and Black Box
Week 3	General refuse	Green Bin
Week 4	Dry recyclables	Blue Bin and Black Box

South Ayrshire Council believes that the ‘alternate weekly’ collection system will encourage householders to participate in recycling and composting and will achieve the maximum segregation of wastes at source, not entailing excessive costs.
