How to use your existing GREEN BIN

Your green bin is for waste that cannot be recycled.

Your green bin will be emptied every 2 weeks, alternating with your blue and brown recycling bins.

Please note that only one green bin per household will be emptied. If you have purchased an additional green bin this can be exchanged free of charge for a blue or brown bin.

Your normal collection day will not change and your bins will be emptied at the kerbside. If your bin is pulled out for you, this service will continue.

Please place your GREEN bin at the kerbside before 7.00am on your normal collection day with the lid closed.

Do not place any additional bags next to your green bin.

If you are not sure whether a certain item can be recycled please put it into your existing green bin.

You can arrange for any excess waste to be collected via the special uplift service. You can take a wide range of recyclates to your local recycling centres or points.
