How can the waste be prevented in the first place?
- Avoid buying products with excessive layers of packaging
- Find out if there is a more durable, longer lasting alternative to the product you
want to buy
- Buy recycled goods whenever you can, and encourage your local retailers to stock
recycled products
- Waste reduction conserves resources and saves money as well as landfill space
