In order to advance our action plan the Accessibility Strategy Group is keen to consult with parents/carers, children and young people, and staff.

South Ayrshire Council is presently recruiting volunteer members to sit on Education Appeal Committees and Local Attendance Councils.

This year we have a wide range of events to entertain everyone. From traditional music, Burns suppers to theatre, poetry and comedy we will be celebrating in style.

Margo Williamson will take up the post of Head of Educational Achievement and Quality Development within South Ayrshire Council in May 2008.

The Rt Hon Alex Salmond, MSP, Scotland’s First Minister, officially opened the Alloway Auld Kirk and graveyard in Alloway, following the completion of extensive conservation and repair work that has been taking place since July 2007.

Councillor Tom Slider has been out and about getting into training for the Conquer a Corbett 2008 Challenge. If he is successful Macmillan Cancer Care and their clients will benefit as Councillor Slider has asked people to sponsor his climb.

The HR Manager must have the passion and pragmatism, the desire and determination and the energy and enthusiasm to help drive the organisation forward.
