Site Information
The site is constructed through a series of linked pages containing
information on the services provided by the Trading Standards
including; our latest news; advice for consumers and businesses;
safety warnings; information for schools; new legislation; and
pages containing information on special areas of work, such as
our proof of age scheme. The information is relevant on both a
local and national basis.
Navigating the Site
Our home page is the first page you would see upon entering the
site. It contains introductory information on our service and
the site itself, with buttons and graphics which, when selected,
will take you to other pages within the site, or to other relevant
web sites.
To navigate your way around, please click on the blue buttons
at the top of each page. The page should change to show information
on the subject contained on the button you selected. On most of
the pages you select, the option buttons will remain along the
top of the page. You may notice that the subject button will change
to yellow. This is in order to reflect the page you have currently
selected. At the bottom of every page you will find options to
either, contact us, return to the home page, or go the top of
the current page. However, if at any time you wish to return to
the home page, simply click on the badge on the top left of the
page.
If any page is not wholly displayed on your screen, scroll using
the directional keys on your keyboard or click and drag using
the scroll bars which are likely to be located on the right hand
side or bottom of the screen.
