Dunduff Castle
Substantial ruin now fully restored as a private residence
on slope of Carrick Hills one mile east of Dunure.
Dunure Castle
A prominent and attractive ruin. This castle was the scene
of the horrific roasting of Allan Stewart, Commendator of Crossraguel
Abbey, by the Cassillis Family in their attempt to seize the Abbey
Lands. Mary Queen of Scots also stayed three nights here. Picnic
area with ample parking.
