Burns Cottage and Museum
Burns Cottage, built by Robert Burns' father, is for many where
the Burns story begins. Robert Burns was born here on January 25th 1759.
The Museum is a treasure house of Burns memorabilia and contains a collection
of manuscripts, books and artefacts. Open all year. Tel:(01292) 441215.
The Tam O'Shanter Experience
A product of the 1990's, this visitor centre comprises an excellent
'Taste of Burns Country' restaurant, an extensive gift shop and the
Tam O'Shanter Audio Visual, a celebration of the poet's famous poem.

Alloway Auld Kirk
The setting for the enormously popular poem Tam O'Shanter. It was
here Tam saw the witches and warlocks in devilish dance. The Kirkyard
also contains the grave of William Burnes, the poet's father.
The Brig O'Doon
Spans the River Doon and was made famous as the setting for Tam
O'Shanter's mare, Meg, losing her tail to witch Nannie.
Burns Monument and Gardens
1823 Grecian Monument dedicated to the poet. Attractive gardens
by the River Doon. Open April - October.
Rozelle
House and Estate
Well-kept gardens, woodland walks and sculpture park. 18th century
mansion house with regalia of former district burghs on display with
other items of historical interest. Tearoom.
