Emergency Datalink Scheme
Datalink ‘Emergency Pots’ are an innovative way for households to store information on individual medical conditions. The Emergency Pots are easy to store and incorporate information on specific medical conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Problems.
Emergency Pots will be available FREE to all vulnerable households in South Ayrshire.
Anyone who takes part in the scheme simply has to fill in a few personal and medical details on a small form, and then place the form in the Emergency Pot, and place it in the fridge. The pot should wherever possible be stored in the fridge within homes, as this is the first place that members of the emergency services, or other medical staff have been told to look for the Emergency Pots. It is hoped that this scheme will improve information available to Emergency Services personnel who attend accidents and emergencies in the home.
The information kept inside Datalink could save your life
The Emergency Pots will be made available from Housing Offices, Social Work Departments, Home Care Services, GP Practices, Health Centres and Pharmacies.
