Community Safety |
The Partnership’s goal is ‘to encourage
local action to reduce the misuse of substances and promote a
safer and healthier South Ayrshire’.
While this is an area where there is already a great deal of work being done, it is an issue which rated highly in community feedback and an issue which greatly impacts on each of the key partners and therefore merits consideration by the Partnership.
The Action Plans will complement the current work of the local Alcohol and Drug Action Team (ADAT) and voluntary agencies.
The Partnership is keen to promote a harm reduction approach based on education and access to information on substance misuse.
