Community Safety |
The Additional Security project was set up by the Council led Multi Agency Partnership to tackle Violence against Women and is supported by the Council’s Community Safety Partnership. It aims to improve services for women and children experiencing domestic abuse. We are offering a range of security measures for women and children, who have experienced domestic abuse, to allow them to feel safer in their own homes:
“When alone in my home, especially at night, I was on
edge, living with the fear of one night hearing his voice on
the other side of my door…The difference the alarm has
made is incredible. I am able to stay in my own home, I feel
happier, content and more secure. I now feel I can begin to return
to a normal way of living”
(From evaluation of women using the alarm system)
These services can be accessed Monday- Friday 9am-4.45pm by contacting community safety via: -
