| What is it ? |
- It is a 12 week health and activity programme specially
designed for people 60 and over, living in South Ayrshire
- Everyone can to take part in the programme to suit
their level of ability.
- No special clothing is required as long as what you
wear is light and comfortable. Footwear should be laced,
flat and supportive.
- Qualified professionals and fully trained health and fitness instructions will deliver all courses from the Sports Development Team.

| What will it be about? |
Every week the 2 hour programme will include a wide
variety of "taster" topics, exercise and activities.
The exercises are for about half an hour and above all
they should be enjoyable. Only do what you feel like doing.
They can be done either sitting on a chair or standing
and consist of:
- Warm up Routine
- Exercises to enhance and maintain strength, balance
and stamina
- Strething and Toning
- Tai Chi
The activities last about 20 minutes to half an hour.
Choose from a variety including:
- Badminton
- Short Tennis
- New age Curling
- Target Toss
- Skittles
- Bowls
- Putting
- Draughts
After that there is a talk, discussion or demonstration
on health matters, safety and security, falls awareness
and lots of interesting topics. |

| What will I have to do? |
Simply come along by yourself or with friends.
Courses are arranged throughout the year at various venues.
Club Diamonds Network
Club Diamond exercise groups are held in various locations throughout South Ayrshire and cost about £1.60 per session.
The Classes are very friendly and people can go at their own pace to suit their own ability.
The groups produce a Newsletter a couple of times a year informing other groups of what they have been doing and to keep in touch with each other
