Community Safety |
Following on from the successful pilot course held at Ayr College last year, a session of 8 weeks Free Evening Classes were held in the above from April - June 2005 for people who worked in the community, on behalf of a public service or were involved in a community group. The course, funded by the South Ayrshire Community Safety Partnership had a partner agency provide a workshop on vital community safety issues, which focussed on practical skills and approaches which could be put to use in the participants paid or voluntary workplace.
Topics covered were:
Councillor Douglas Campbell, Chair of the Community Safety Partnership, South Ayrshire Council, presented a Certificate to all 27 participants on the final Evaluation & Presentation Evening.
The course was very well attended and enjoyed by everyone and it is hoped there will be a serious of courses in different formats, which will raise awareness of vital community safety issues.
