Community Safety |
Stopping antisocial behaviour at the earliest stage is at the centre of our strategy.
We believe voluntary or negotiated solutions are usually the best answer.
Antisocial behaviour is any behaviour that causes distress or alarm. Examples include:
An experienced and dedicated Antisocial Behaviour Team has been setup to provide services for the whole of South Ayrshire.
The service is free and confidential and offers a 24-hour advice line to encourage people to report incidents of antisocial behaviour.
The team investigates each complaint thoroughly and uses partner agencies to resolve complaints. It focuses on preventing antisocial behaviour problems, but will take enforcement action where appropriate.
A free Mediation Service is also available to encourage informal solutions to disputes. For more information telephone 01292 294063.
