Domestic Abuse - Working with Women and Families in Rural Areas

This project is supported by the Multi-Agency Partnership to tackle Violence Against Women.

South Ayrshire Women’s Aid Outreach Service is here to help you:

Would you like to talk to someone about the effects of abuse?
Would you like to resettle after leaving an abusive partner?
Would you like help and advice on a range of practical matters, including: Housing, Benefits, Legal Issues?
Would you like the opportunity to join a group and learn new skills while meeting new people?

Our service is free and confidential.

Living with, or leaving, an abusive controlling partner can leave women feeling isolated and vulnerable. The Women’s Aid outreach worker can provide confidential, emotional and practical support to women who have experienced, or are experiencing, Domestic Abuse.
Support and Information can be accessed throughout all of South Ayrshire.
For example Tarbolton, Mossblown, Annbank, Coylton, Troon and Dundonald, amongst others.

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION SERVICE
The Rape Counselling & Resource Centre (RCRC) provides counselling and support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse, empowering them to recover from the trauma of sexual crimes.
The Centre is based in Kilmarnock, but offers an outreach service to South Ayrshire.

They can provide:

Counselling

Support in court cases
Information for survivors, friends, relatives, families and partners
A comprehensive library
Complementary therapy to accompany counselling
Groupwork when available
Training and talks for agencies and the general public
Total confidentiality in a safe supportive atmosphere
