Roads and Transportation
Traffic Sensitive Categories
The Categories referred to in the database are defined as follows:
- Midweek Restriction
- No working Peak Hours (07:00 - 09:30 & 16:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday)
No working Public Holidays or Racedays, all day.
Working times to be agreed with Roads Authority (Traffic & Transportation) and
Police.
- Working times to be agreed with Roads Authority (Traffic & Transportation) and
Police.
- Accesses to Emergency Services premises. Work by arrangement.
- High sided vehicle route.
- Level crossing, work by arrangement with both the Rail and Roads Authorities.
Note: The restrictions applied to the various categories above
may be relaxed for certain types of work which are likely to have no significant
impact on traffic flow (e.g. short duration, non-excavation works etc.) following
consultation with both the Roads Authority and Police.
