Planning Aid: is a voluntary organisation run by qualified town planners who provide free advice to individuals, community councils, tenants associations and voluntary groups. Planning Aid can be contacted by telephone on 0845 603 7602 or by email at office@planning-aid-scotland.org.uk. Information booklets can also be downloaded from Planning Aid's web site at www.planningaidscotland.org.uk.

Historic Environment Scotland: is a branch of the Scottish Government responsible for the listing and safeguarding of important historic buildings. Historic Environment Scotland can also provide information regarding the provision of financial assistance for the renovation listed buildings. Historic Environment Scotland can be contacted by telephone on 0131 668 8600 or at www.historic-scotland.gov.uk.
