  • As a Council we remain committed to “working to establish South Ayrshire as the most dynamic, inclusive and sustainable community in Scotland”.
  • Our direction is set out under four themes, which are to help ensure that the area is:
    • Prosperous, learning and achieving
    • Healthy, safe and caring;
    • Clean, attractive and sustainable;
  • and that we are:
    • Ambitious, forward-looking and responsive.
  • Our corporate and directorate plans spell out how we intend to maintain and improve services within South Ayrshire and regular progress reports will be available on our web site.
  • We have also established with our Community Planning Partners how we can best work together to deliver these themes, and have agreed a Single Outcome Agreement for 2009-12 that unites our efforts towards them.
  • Following our Audit of Best Value and Community Planning in April 2009, we have developed an ambitious improvement programme to support the transformation of the Council. The programme includes improving our strategic planning, performance management, customer care and our communication and engagement.
