Public Performance Reporting

Securing The Future

Culzean. Photo by Stephanie Weichart, Ayr CollegeIn preparation for another year, we have been reviewing the priorities of the Council, considering the changing demands placed upon us, and the issues that are likely to face the area over the coming years.

This has led the Council to develop a new vision of what it is trying to achieve, this being ‘to establish South Ayrshire as the most dynamic, inclusive and sustainable community in Scotland’.

During the course of the year, we will be working out the detail of what this means and how, working with our partners and the local community, we can make real progress towards this.

We intend to use four themes to focus our efforts. These are to help ensure that the area is:

  • prosperous, learning and achieving;
  • healthy, safe and caring;
  • clean, attractive and sustainable;

and that the Council is:

  • ambitious, forward-looking and responsive.

Future calendars and newsletters will report back on how our services are taking this forward, and the difference that you are seeing across South Ayrshire.

As always, the services provided by South Ayrshire Council will work towards meeting the needs of the local area. Within this calendar we feature a number these services, setting out some of what they do and how they are performing.
