Green Space
Sites of Private Ownership
As part of the process of setting the Council budget for 2009/10, the Council decided
to adopt an efficiency measure which involved discontinuing grounds maintenance
on green space sites which were held in private ownership. In April 2009, letters
were sent out to the registered land owners of private green space sites which were
being maintained by the Council. This letter provided landowners with an opportunity
to make arrangements for grounds maintenance of the green space assets contained
within these sites by August 2009. Regrettably, the response was poor and the Council
implemented its decision to discontinue grounds maintenance at these sites during
September 2009.
Further information relating to these private green space assets and locations can
be obtained by firstly clicking on the town or village location listed below which
will then provide specific details of the green space sites affected within that
location. Click on the 'view map' option to bring up further details relating to
the particular site of interest.
