Parks Management - Current Provision of Open Space
South Ayrshire has over 1000 hectares of public open space.
Provision of activities and developement of landscape character
in parks and open spaces is best organised through a hierarchy
of open spaces, where each tier of the hierarchy is designed
to meet different needs. This assists in providing resources
where they are most needed, and creates a framework for the
provision of high quality open space.
