Wildlife - Troon Golf Courses

The golf courses at Troon provide a good habitat for a range of animals, from those that like the wet, marshy areas to those who prefer the dryer sandy areas of the dunes; there is also a small section of almost parkland habitat as well.

Creatures that you might expect are birds such as - common snipe, moorhen, reed bunting and grasshopper warbler; mammals such as - rabbits, hares, fox, mice, shrews, moles and the occasional deer. Within the wetter areas you should be able to spot common frogs and toads, newts, dragonflies and insects of various sorts.
