Wildlife - Troon Shorefront

As with the rest of the Firth of Clyde coastline, birdlife revolves around those waterfowl that use the shallows and mud flats as feeding areas. Birds to look for are waders of various types from the curlew to the redshank; geese and gulls of various types and in the dune and links area, ringed plover, skylark and pipits.

Shellfish will be around and be aware of the jellyfish that can plague this coastline…..you can often see jellyfish that have become stranded on the sands!
