Wildlife - Prestwick Shorefront

Given their proximity to one another, Prestwick shorefront has similar marine wildlife to that of Ayr, with shellfish of cockles, periwinkles, limpets and minibeasts of various sorts that live and feed on the foreshore. In the muddier parts of the beach if you dig around you may come across mud snails, lugworms and ragworms.

If you take a boat trip into the Firth of Clyde you are likely to see seals, dolphins and porpoise.

The birdlife is much the same as Ayr with sandpiper, geese, swans, gannets and terns.
