The Lochgreen Golf Courses one of the best public courses in Great Britain and was opened in 1905. The course is predominately a links course, though there are a few holes in the "dovecot section" which are more parkland in character.
Lochgreen has been used several times as a qualifying course for the Open Championships.
The Darley course dates from around 1910 while the present course was opened in 1951. Darley is slightly shorter than Lochgreen but is considerably tighter. Any golfer must shoot a straight tee shot to avoid the heather, gorse and whin, which they will find, surrounding the course.
Fullarton is thought as the easiest of the three courses, a links-type course exposed to the prevailing westerly breezes. It is a course which should not be under estimated as the heather and gorse which flank the course are unforgiving to any golfer whose shot strays.
