Coastal Areas - Dunure Shorefront

Historic Site Toilets Parking Beach Walking
Picnic Area Sailing Playpark Wildlife Fishing

Dunure shorefront has a lovely little harbour, which was originally used for fishing. In 1811 improvements were made and a number of fisherman cottages built around the same time. Today the harbour is only used by pleasure craft.

The beach is predominately rock and shingle - perfect for those who like to study rock pools.

From the beach you cannot fail to notice Dunure Castle which sits upon a rocky outcrop and commands a panoramic view of the Firth of Clyde.
