Before an access permit can be issued, the Council must be satisfied that the applicant is entitled to a permit. You therefore must supply certain documentation to confirm your address and the registration number of your vehicle.

Examples of acceptable documentation are:

  • Confirmation of address: any document from an official source so long as it includes your address or headed note paper from your business (if applicable)
  • Confirmation of registration number: any document from an official source so long as it includes your vehicle registration number, e.g. insurance document or vehicle registration document.
  • Confirmation that you have use of an off-road parking area (if your application is for a Type A Access permit): documentation (e.g. a copy of a title deed) showing that you own an off-road area or a letter from the owner of an off-road area confirming that you are permitted to use that area at all times. NB residents of Riverside Flats do not need to supply this documentation.
