On the 9th February 2005 everyone was given a statutory right of responsible access to move freely in the outdoors and on inland waterways for recreation and passage by non-motorised means. This act will make it easier for all of us to get out and enjoy the outdoors. However the outdoors is also home and workplace to people and this right of access only applies if the public behave responsibly.
