As a duty under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, the Council has established a South Ayrshire Local Access Forum. Its primary function is to advise the Council or any other party on access issues such as core paths planning, access exemptions and the exercising of access rights. The Forum consists of 16 members who comprises a reasonable representation of individuals and bodies with an interest in outdoor access including, land managers, recreational users and public bodies
