Out of school care

South Ayrshire Council provides quality out of school care for children aged 3 – 14 years at affordable prices.

Care clubs

All our clubs are registered with the Care Inspectorate and operate with staff who are qualified in line with the Scottish Social Services Council guidelines. Staff are employed to provide play experiences for children which meet their individual needs and promote a safe and secure environment.

The children are collected from their schools by members of staff, who are clearly identifiable in our uniform and ID badges.

Activities available include IT equipment such as iPads, Wii, etc, creative arts and crafts, energetic physical and outdoor play, board games, movie days, woodwork, textiles and fashion, music and dance. A quiet area is provided for those children who wish to make a start on their homework or relax and read a book. Age appropriate toys such as construction kits, train sets, dolls and a dolls house, dressing up etc. are provided for free play at every session.

Children from other schools can be accommodated if their parents can arrange transportation to the club.

Please note registration paperwork requires to be completed and returned to the appropriate service prior to use. The registration process takes 2 days to complete so please speak to us in advance of your childcare needs.
