Lots of fun and information too
Hundreds of people visited South Ayrshire Council's Tenant Family Fun and Information Day recently.
Over 200 tenants and their families attended the event at the Citadel leisure facility in Ayr, which brings Council services, partner organisations and charities together in one location to provide information and advice to tenants.
Council staff were on hand to highlight the work of Community Safety, the Property Repairs Service and Health and Social Care. Important advice was also available from external organisations such as Ayr Housing Aid, Home Energy Scotland and the Volunteer Network.
There were also plenty of fun activities for young and old with model railways, face painting, climbing wall and a bull rodeo machine!
Councillor Philip Saxton, Housing and Customer Services Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council said: "This was a great event and numbers were up on last year, so it is definitely growing. It's important to provide advice and support for those that need it, but this event is also a chance for tenants and their families from different communities across South Ayrshire to meet up and have some fun. It was certainly an enjoyable day and my thanks goes to all those that took the time to come along."
Some tenants attending the fun and information day said the following:
"Plenty of entertainment for children."
"Staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful."
"A successful day."
