Dr Godazgar said: "It was a pleasure to welcome Provost Moonie and the school students to the College and to give them some insight into what we offer in terms of study and research at the College."
Provost Moonie said: "Students and staff from all over the world study and work at Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education and I was really pleased to visit it, meet students and staff and hear about their educational experiences there. The college brings together student and staff of all religions and no religion together. I was delighted to see the young people from South Ayrshire interacting with the students at the college, it was very apparent how much they were learning from each other. I am sure that the experience of meeting each other will have been of great benefit to all the students."
Here is what the two students from South Ayrshire had to say about their visit:
Abbie Hamilton said: "The people at the College were so fascinating and inspirational. It is truly a day I will never forget. I gained a lot of knowledge about Islam as a result of the visit."
