South Ayrshire Boys Choir/South Ayrshire Youth Voices
South Ayrshire Boys' Choir – established in 2009 and run jointly by South Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire Voices – is looking for new members for the current session.
The aim of the choir is to ensure greater and higher quality participation in singing by South Ayrshire boys with treble (unchanged) voices and the first year of the choir has been a great success with boys getting the chance to sing in a group and also improve their own vocal standards.
This gives boys the chance to enjoy a continuous and progressive singing/performance experience that helps them develop their vocal skills as they grow. South Ayrshire Boys Choir is open to boys in Primary 3-7.
We're also looking for young people from S3-S6 interested in joining South Ayrshire Youth Voices, which is open to both boys and girls. Boys with changed or changing voices in S1 and S2 are also eligible to join.
South Ayrshire Youth Voices offers a great opportunity to sing in a mixed-voice, four-part choir with a varied and extensive repertoire. It is the flagship youth performing organisation in South Ayrshire.
For further information or to get involved in either the Boys Choir or Youth Voices, contact Fiona Taylor (01292 616315) or Raymond Bramwell (01292 264489)
