A new national service that simplifies the submission of Building Warrant applications has now gone live in South Ayrshire. The new portal will allow businesses and individuals to make online Building Standards applications for the first time.
The introduction of the eBuilding Standards service is in line with the Scottish Government's digital strategy and is in response to feedback received from ePlanning portal users and local authorities.
Anyone wishing to submit paper applications will still be able to do so.
Among the benefits of using the new system:
• Electronic building warrants and related forms (i.e. completion certificates)
• Submission of digital copies of supporting documentation
• Direct payment of associated fees
The portal is easy to navigate with help and guidance available at every stage along the way. Those who are already familiar with the ePlanning service will find that this portal has a similar look and feel.

The online system provides a service that's easy to use and which helps to cut down the time it takes for applications to be received and processed.
