History Fair A Success

The South Ayrshire History and Family History Fair, held in the Walker Halls in Troon, was a resounding success.
Speaking after the event Councillor Margaret Toner, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, Tourism and Leisure who opened the Fair said: "It was wonderful to see the large audiences that attended to listen to the superb talks by the guest speakers. There was something for all the family with varied stalls, local and national history organisations, family history societies and a specialist Scottish bookshop.
"I would like to thank the guest speakers and everyone who attended and also a big thank you to all the Council employees who worked very hard to make it a success."
