South Ayrshire Council will be holding the annual Christmas Candlelight Service at Masonhill Crematorium on Sunday 11 December.
The service starts at 3:30pm and as this is Masonhill Crematorium's 50th year, it will be a chance to bring families and friends together to remember all those we have lost over the years. The service is also an opportunity to comfort those who will be facing their first Christmas on their own.
The service will include songs, readings and prayers, led by the Rev David Gemmell, Rev Rosie Walker and Celebrant Drew Brady
Belmont Academy's Senior Vocal Ensemble will lead the opening candlelight procession and join the congregation to sing Christmas Carols.
Councillor John McDowall, Sustainability and Environment Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council said: "This uplifting and comforting service is for anyone who would like to remember loved ones they have lost.
"Whether you have religious beliefs or not, come along to the service on your own, with friends or colleagues, you can be assured of a warm welcome."
Hot spiced, non-alcoholic fruit punch will be served after the candlelight service so please do stay and meet with our Ministers and Celebrant, and members of the Crematorium Staff.
