Are you an artist and interested in applying for arts funding? If you are then book a place at a Cultural Enterprise Office workshop, commissioned by South Ayrshire Council, which will take place on Tuesday 22 November 2011 at Belmont Academy, Nursery Road, Ayr.
The free workshops will be an opportunity to explore and discuss the process of writing focussed applications and proposals for funding, commissions and residencies for artists.
During the workshops participants will be shown:
- How to research and target the most appropriate opportunities
- How to plan and structure your approach
- Standard formats for presenting proposals
- Key information to convey
- Checks to ensure you're providing what the recipient is looking for
- Common selection criteria
- An opportunity to develop/edit a 30 word summary of your proposal
The workshops will assist artists to have a realistic view about the nature of grant applications and what funders are looking for.
