    Helping the visually impaired

    South Ayrshire Council has installed two electronic magnifiers, one in Carnegie Library in Ayr and one in Girvan Library, to make more library services available to to people who are visually impaired.

    Gaiety Theatre In Ayr To Close Temporarily

    Parts of Ayr Gaiety Theatre will be temporarily closed from 31 March 2007. The theatre will be examined and a report detailing any building work or necessary improvements to meet modern operating demands and health and safety standards compiled.

    South Ayrshire Council's headquarters was the venue for an extravaganza of specialist Hungarian produced food and wine products during a Hungarian trade seminar that was hosted by Provost Winifred Sloan.
