Landlord fined for unlicensed house in multiple occupation

An Ayr landlord has been fined a total of £1,800 at Ayr Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to two charges of operating a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) without a licence – in a case brought by South Ayrshire Council.

South Ayrshire Provost Helen Moonie welcomed Russian guests to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum for the launch of 'The Literary Landscape in Russian Art' exhibition. The artwork in the exhibition was inspired by the writing of the famous Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin.

John Alexander, who originates from Tarbolton and his wife Nan who originates from Annbank, have celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary. The couple have known each other since they were at school. John and Nan, who were married in Tarbolton Parish Church, live in Tarbolton, they have one daughter and two grandsons.
