Reviewing Secondary Education In Troon
A special Review Group to explore the options for Marr College and secondary school provision in the Troon area has been approved by members of South Ayrshire Council’s Leadership Panel.
A fundamental review is currently being carried out on all the Council’s school estate, but because of the uniqueness of Marr College and the expansion of Troon the Review Group will focus on secondary education in the town.
The Group will consist of officers from the Council, Councillors and representatives from Marr Trust. A workshop that will be facilitated by the Head of the Council’s PPP project will be held so that the Group can agree the best way forward and consider:
- Terms of reference for the Review Group.
- Consultation and communication strategy.
- Additional Review Group representation as required.
- Timeframes and reporting protocols.
Update reports on the progress of the Review Group will be presented to future Leadership Panel meetings.
