New Out Of School Care Club In Troon

A special open day was held at Muirhead Activity Centre in Troon for parents and children who may wish to use the new Out of School Care Club facilities that will be introduced in January 2008.

South Ayrshire Council is opening the new Out of School Care Club that will provide 24 places for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. The Club will run during term time from 3 pm till 6 pm and children who attend Muirhead, Struthers or Barassie Primary School will be eligible to apply for a place.

Councillor Margaret Toner, Depute Leader of the Council and Portfolio Carrier for Community Services attended the open day and said: “The children who attend the Out of School Care Club in Muirhead Activity Centre will be looked after in a safe and caring environment. There will be opportunities for the children to take part in sports, arts and crafts, active play and lots more, so they will be able to have fun and still be learning. ”
